Statement of Inclusion

Brandywine Roller Derby (BRD) is a not-for profit athletic organization founded on respect and acceptance; we believe all individuals involved should feel comfortable and free from any intimidation. We seek to cultivate a community based on a passion for the sport of roller derby and respect for all people despite differences in age, citizenship, disability, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, geographic origin, language, marital status, nationality, philosophical beliefs, race, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status. Our league events are an extension of our social ideals and the inherent value we see in all individuals.
Hostile, offensive and intolerant speech or behavior will not be tolerated at any BRD sponsored event. This includes, but is not limited to: bigotry, sexism, transphobia, racism, homophobia, and any other form of intolerance based on personal or cultural signifiers. Any expression of intolerance or hate towards a person in attendance at a BRD sponsored event will result in the perpetrator(s) being asked to leave without reimbursement. That perpetrator will then not be granted access to any of our future events unless a formal apology is made, both to the league as a whole and to the individual(s) affected.

Our members come from all walks of life and we support them all.
